What we're about

Dog friendly Walks by Water takes you on a journey through the landscapes of an England where rivers wind through enchanting countryside, sheer cliffs stand guard beside the mighty sea, swans glide serenely over romantic lakes and ancient canals echo with the toil of thousands of labourers who dug them through the meadows and forests of old. Keep fit, meet interesting and friendly people and see breathtaking sights most of us can only dream of.

Newhaven to Brighton Coastal Walk

Victoria Train Station

Lets go with the flow and do this really wonderful 10 mile coastal walk. Please arrive by 9.30am so as to facilitate the purchase of group train tickets at around £19 each to Brighton for the 10.16am train that arrives after changing at Lewes at Newhaven Town at 11.38am. Meetup fee £5. Please make sure you have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. Please bring water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes / trainers. Also bring sunhat, suncream and sunglasses. We have lunch at a pub en route overlooking the sea. Most of the walk is along the cliffs and then with 3 or 4 miles to go the walk becomes an undercliff walk so the views should be especially great on a beautiful Summer's day. We shall meet again at around 4.30pm by the pier in Brighton and then maybe have an ice cream and then a drink before taking the train back to London. In association with Weekday Walks.
