Dog friendly Walks by Water takes you on a journey through the landscapes of an England where rivers wind through enchanting countryside, sheer cliffs stand guard beside the mighty sea, swans glide serenely over romantic lakes and ancient canals echo with the toil of thousands of labourers who dug them through the meadows and forests of old. Keep fit, meet interesting and friendly people and see breathtaking sights most of us can only dream of.

Belfast, Bushmills, Rathlin Island and Giants Causeway Weekend

A most wonderful long weekend of walking in the most amazing area of Northern Ireland and the stunning coastal walks either side of the iconic world famous Giants Causeway as well as a lovely tranquil coastal walk near Belfast. Anyone who has not booked their hotel and travel by Sunday 6th January shall be removed from the trip and will ONLY be allowed to RSVP again once they have actively demonstrated that they have booked their hotel and travel. Proposed walks : Thursday 25th ( bus at 3.37pm ) Portstewart to Bushmills coastal walk 9 miles followed by dinner in a Bushmills pub Friday 26th ( bus at 12.22pm - walk shall commence at 2.15pm ) Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge to Bushmills coastal walk featuring Giants Causeway - 40,000 basalt stones the most impressive sight - 10 miles followed by dinner in a Bushmills pub Sat morn 27th ( bus 9.22am ) With our cases which we shall leave at the ferry terminal in Ballycastle for Rathlin Island 7 miles walk ( ferry crossing times 11am and return 4.15pm respectively ) NEED PACKED LUNCH We shall make INDIVIDUAL bookings £12 return as from late June - to book CALL[masked] Rathlin Island Ferry Limited Do NOT try to book online ! Sun morn 28th ( meet 9am at train station at Lanyon Place for train at 9.42am ) Carnalea to Cultra coastal walk 7 miles Belfast sightseeing and Titanic Museum Sun afternoon. We shall be staying Thursday and Friday nights in Bushmills a lovely rural area very near the Giants Causeway celebrated site. Anyone who wishes to visit The Dark Hedges should get together and go by taxi on Friday morning. We shall take minicoach or taxi to Bushmills on Thursday morning at either 10am or 11am and then take minicoach again to Belfast Saturday at 5.15pm DIRECT from Ballycastle whereupon later in the evening we shall have a drink in the amazing Crown Bar and then get to explore this great city on Sunday afternoon before flying home Sunday evening. Please book Easyjet flights to Belfast : Thursday - Luton 7.15am / Stansted 7.45am or Gatwick 8.25am. Sunday - any take off time after 5pm. Please book a hotel or B&B Thursday and Friday in Bushmills and Saturday night in Belfast. Once booked please put a message on the event page as to where you shall be staying. Please also indicate which walk you would prefer on the Sunday morning. You should be able to walk 2.5 miles per hour on the flat for at least 10 miles, be prepared to do at least both the first two walks plus walk on either Saturday or Sunday and have adequate and appropriate insurance. Oxford to Abingdon with Boat Back

Lets go with the flow and do this wonderful stunning free 10 mile Thames Path Walk. Please arrive by 9am so as to facilitate the purchase of group return train tickets at £18.10 each for the 9.52am direct train that arrives at 10.50am. Meetup fee £5. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes /trainers. Also bring sunhat, sunglasses and suncream. This walk shall be kindly led and organized by Deirdre. Sandra shall be backmarker. Please have adequate and appropriate insurance for this type of activity. There shall be a pub stop ahead of the boat trip back. There is an option to take , which by past experience by almost everyone ,the wonderful boat back to Oxford along this particularly beautiful stretch of the Thames at 4.45pm that arrives back at Oxford at 6.30pm for around £13.40 or take the bus back to Oxford and then taking the train back to London arriving back just before 8pm. Margate to Ramsgate beautiful coastal walk

Lets go with the flow and do this beautiful 9 mile Kent coastal walk! Please arrive by 8.50am with £21.65 in cash of which meetup fee is £5 so that all the group return train tickets can be bought in good time for the 9.40am train that arrives at Margate at 11.25am. Train ticket : Ramsgate return. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking boots/shoes. Also sunhat, sun cream and sunglasses. We shall have our lunch at around 1pm at Botany Bay. After lunch we shall then walk to delightful historic Broadstairs which we shall have time to explore before then having a drink at the delightful Weatherspoons pub in Ramsgate before taking the 5.05pm train back to London that arrives by 6.53pm. Stunning coastal walk from Worthing and River Adur walk to delightful Bramber

A most wonderful 9.5 mile walk initially by the coast and then along this beautiful river and a chance to visit the remains of Bramber castle ! Meeting by the ticket please arrive by 9.15am and we shall buy group train tickets at £20.80 and then take the 10.16am train that arrives at Worthing at 11.37am. Train ticket return to Worthing. Meetup fee £5. Please bring packed lunch, water, snacks etc plus waterproof jacket and walking shoes / boots/ trainers. Also sunhat, sun cream and sunglasses. You should have adequate and appropriate insurance and be able to walk at 2.5 miles per hour. We shall have a drink in delightful quaint Bramber and then after taking the bus back to Shoreham on Sea at 5.21pm we shall take the train back to London to arrive by around 7.30pm. My no[masked]
