Description: Nested in the southwest portion of South Mountain, the Pyramid trail is still unknown to many who frequent the various trails of S. Mountain. The trail begins as an easy stroll just yards from residential area and after about 1 mile, our stroll turns to moderate hiking through a series of switchbacks and a saddle and then more switchbacks until it junctions with the National Trail. This will be a fitness hike--you will sweat! Who's in?

Start Elevation: 1260 ft., Elevation Gain: 1350 ft.
Drive Time: 30 minutes, Water to Bring: 2 liters
Meeting Time/Place: 5:30am at Pyramid trailhead
Directions: From US 60, take I-10 south towards Tucson. Exit Pecos Road and continue west. Turn right on 17th street (north) and continue until Chandler Blvd. Then turn left and drive to the end.
