Description: Let’s burn a lot of calories on this enjoyable up-and-down loop hike in South Mountain Park before we stuff our faces for Thanksgiving. We will start on the Kiwanis Trail and hike up National along the ridgeline and then travel down on the Ranger trail and over on the Los Lomitas trail that will take us back to the parking area. Trailhead is 1.3 miles past the South Mountain Park main entrance.
Difficulty: Moderate, Distance RT: 4.2 mile loop
Start Elevation: 1,580 ft., Elevation Gain: 800 ft.
Drive Time: ½ hr, Water to Bring: 2-3 liters
Meeting Time/Place: 8 AM, South Mountain Park - Kiwanis Trailhead
