What we're about

## Coronavirus Update - 5th August - PLEASE READ GUIDELINES - Updated to include 'symptoms' and those who are considered 'clinically vulnerable' ##

Please read these guidelines before putting your name down for walks.

The Pandemic Alert level is still at Level 3 (A COVID-19 epidemic is in general circulation).

Following publication of recent England guidelines regarding group sizes, permitting organised groups of up to 30 in a 'community activity', I shall be increasing the group sizes but limiting sizes to a manageable level - I am expecting this to be no more than 12 but there may be flexibility, up or down, on this depending on the event.

The current guidance is as follows: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/meeting-people-from-outside-your-household-from-4-july

The section "Gathering in larger groups" explains the rules regarding larger groups with Covid Secure Guidelines which you are all asked to read.

'Let's go Walking..'

Welcome to Hampshire's Wandering Wayfarers, a friendly, leisurely paced, walking group where you are welcome to come and join us on walks in Hampshire and the surrounding counties. There may also be the occasional special walk that could be in a different part of the country or spread over 2 or more days.

Walks will mostly be on a Sunday and usually between 6-12 miles (10-20Km), with the occasional longer distance walk. Often there will be places of interest along the way where we will, if the opportunity and time permit, stop and look around. These may be historic buildings, old mills, churches and other interesting and historic landmarks that I hope will serve to enrich the content of the walk.

There will be a modest charge per walk to cover the subscription costs of the site and other expenses associated with running the group. There may also be additional charges depending upon the activity.

This is a non-smoking walking group and only open to over 18s.

Please take a moment to look through the Conditions of Membership (https://www.meetup.com/en-AU/Wandering-Wayfarers/pages/22507281/Conditions_of_Membership/) .

I look forward to seeing you on one of our walks.

Mike
