You are cordially invited to the Sierra Club Potomac Region Outings’ (SCPRO’s) first-in-a-while winter holiday party (rated 3 burps) next Sunday, January 22, at 5 pm, in North Bethesda, MD. Directions, and Metro and parking information, are given below. The party is open to all—outings leaders and participants, prospective such, and friends and family, so feel free to pass this message on, and to bring some of your own friends and family.
We will provide fruit snacks, dessert, water/soft drinks, and plastic/paper ware. What you may bring is a main or side dish (with needed serving utensils), and your own beer or wine. (If you can’t, don’t want to, or forget to make a dish, don’t let that stop you as there is sure to be more than enough food.) Please avoid chips, nuts, dips, and other snackies in deference to still fresh new-year resolutions.
There is no agenda (speeches, presentations, discussions) to interfere with us enjoying ourselves. If you have pictures of recent (2011/12) SCPRO hikes or events, please bring them to share. Burn them into a DVD as a movie loop to show on the big TV, or bring hard copies or your computer to show them.
Please RSVP so that we get a sense of how many are coming. See you then.
BTW, here are some pictures from our first two hikes this year, on Jan 1 & 7 (note the great weather!):
Location: Bethesda Club Room, White Flint Station Condos, 11800 Old Georgetown Road, North Bethesda, MD. See map below for directions. The location is one block north of the Red Line’s White Flint Metro station. The entrance is across from a construction site and the room is on your right just after entering. If you need more directions, a ride, or other information, contact me at [address removed] or 301/580-9387.
