Abstract

Microservices need to be loosely coupled, and we know that messaging good for that, so why are there so many services communicating exclusively over HTTP? In this session we look at how to turn the tables and use messaging where it is appropriate with the minimum possible fuss using Spring Cloud Stream. While developing a sample application, you'll also see it deployed as part of a larger distributed system using Spring Cloud Data Flow (the new manifestation of Spring XD), which unifies streaming and batch operations. You'll learn about this new Spring Cloud project and how simple it is to build event driven and streaming applications.
