NO CLASSES AT ST MARY's on 5 July -instead an opportunity for social dancing in an extraordinary environment. This time Tango Warwick takes to the countryside and joins the ALSO festival in the Capability Brown landscaped countryside round Compton Verney just south of Leamington. This is the July edition of Tango Warwick's monthly milonga: the social event for tango dancers in this region, visiting one of the UK's best Festivals. Not only that but the DJ will be the much aclaimed David Thomas, author of "Getting To Know: Twenty Tango Orchestras"!

The milonga will be preceded by a taster class for Festival goers given by Dawid & Gosia Polack, with a half hour for the graduates to practise, discuss, and generally fraternise and dance with the visiting tangueros. It would be good to have plenty of tango dancers at these events to help Dawid & Gosia and hopefully inspire new dancers.

The milonga itself will start at 8 pm. The whole evening will be in a substantial marquee. We are promised a good wooden floor, with about 9mx9m dancing space, and probably a cocktail bar and dining tables. It all sounds very good!
However you may not consume alcohol not bought at the festival, nor bring glass onto the site. There will be plenty of food and drink on sale. Dancers will be able to freely use the facilities on Friday evening.
The ALSO festival is ranked among the top UK festivals by The Guardian, "You owe it to your brain to check it out" say METRO. More below.

PRICE "at door" £10 . Booking is not required but to control numbers, and to prove that you are bona fide dancers so there is no problem with entry, please register your name either by clicking "going" on this event site or on the Facebook event site or by emailing [masked] with subject "Milonga ALSO". This will not commit you any more than "going" normally does.

There are various other concessions available to dancers: Overnight campervan/caravans spaces can be booked via their website.
Friends of dancers can come to the Festival for Friday evening for £20.
Dancers can join for the whole weekend for the discounted price of £100 (which includes the milonga). Contact [masked] to get the discount code.
There is a Festival Dinner for £28.

As well as this the special edition will include the usual warm welcome, traditional music, good company, lovely dances waiting to be had, delightful vibes
