A walk through this marshy oasis in the midst of megalopolis is always a relaxing, spirit-restoring experience. It's a short hike - just 2 miles - but we will take plenty of time to soak up the ambience and learn about the park's flora and fauna (see http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/huntley-meadows-park/).

Directions: From the beltway in Virginia heading towards Maryland, take the Telegraph Rd. exit (Exit 176A) and merge onto VA-241 S. After a mile, take a slight left onto School St., then continue on Rt. 633 (S Kings Hwy) to Harrison Lane. Left onto Harrison Lane and the park is at the end of the road.
From the beltway in Maryland heading towards Virginia, after crossing the Potomac River take the US 1 South exit (Exit 177A). After 3.5 miles, turn right onto Lockwood Blvd., then left onto Harrison Lane.
