Interested in volunteering your time to help people facing the final stage of their lives? Hospice volunteers provide non-medical services and respite care for caregivers and families. A few ways you might be able to help are: provide companionship and socialization, provide emotional support, provide caregiver relief or run errands for patients and families, read to patients, or assist with light house cleaning. We also have a need for volunteers to provide haircuts, massage therapy, pet therapy, and music visits. We provide training and on-going support to volunteers. Our office is located in Hagerstown, but our patients live in their homes all over Washington County, so we always need volunteers willing to drive to our patients. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients and family members.
