What we're about

This is a group for persons caring for loved ones with memory loss, including MCI, Mild-Moderate Alzheimer's and the Oldest Old, plus 85 years old (the fastest growing segment of the nation's population. I started this Meetup because keeping the affected person @ home is not easy. The primary purpose is to provide a forum where caregivers can meet to discuss caregiving issues. Also to find out what works and what doesn't. Secondly, the Meetup provides expert knowledge on topics central to effective caregiving.

There are many smart, clever caregivers in DC. We can pool our experience and knowledge to assist others on the often very long journey of caring for a person with memory loss.

We meet monthly @ Hera Hub, 5028 Wisconsin Ave.. Everyone is welcome, including adult children with aging parents, caregivers for persons with ALZ and those interested in memory loss, including in the eldercare community. However, no pitching services or products is permitted. Hera Hub is owned by a woman whose father has Alzheimer's.
