Maryland Renaissance Festival!

Dust off your pantaloons, buckle up your doublet and squeeze into those corsets because it's Renn Fair time! Come join us for a day of meed drinking, turkey leg eating, knight jousting and other tom foolery!

If you have never been to the Renn Fair before, it is not to be missed. Feel free to dress up and get a bit Medieval.

More information about the days performances and activities can be located on the website:

TRAVEL: You will need a car to get to the Renaissance Festival. If you need a ride, or are willing to offer one, please post in the comments. I am able to offer a ride to two people, but you will have to meet me at the Twinbrook Metro station on the Red Line.

LOCATION: We will meet at the fountain just inside the main gates. Once we meetup, feel free to break into smaller groups and do your own thing. There is absolutely no obligation to remain with the larger meetup group.

ENTRY: Tickets cost $22 for adults and $10 for children. You may purchase them online a week before the date or in person at the gates.

CONTACT: Feel free to call/text me at (301)[masked] if you have trouble locating the group.

We are on the back left side of the fountain. At 10:30 we will be at the lyric stage.

    Greetings fellow Renn Fair Folk!

If you have not yet bought your ticket for Saturday, I highly recommend doing so this week to avoid having to wait in line. You can purchase your ticket ($22 for an adult) here:

When driving to the festival, keep in mind that the last leg of the journey is on a two lane road and there may be traffic. You may want to leave a bit earlier than you normally would to ensure you aren't late.

Finally, we will be meeting at the fountain at 10 am. However, you are not obligated to remain with the group and I anticipate most people (myself included) splitting off into smaller groups and bumping into people throughout the day.

I look forward to seeing everybody Saturday for some mead drinking, turkey leg eating, and jousting!

For those driving, the traffic to this location can be quite trying. Best to arrive at least 15 minutes before the doors open. Otherwise, you will be sitting in 2 miles of traffic on a two lane road in the country, and then you will be sad :(

I'll be driving from Hyattsville, and don't mind taking a slight detour if anyone needs a ride.

I'll be at Pennsylvania Renfaire that day. Does that count?

Nope. Doesn't count. Maryland Renn Fest or bust!
