Re: [dnd-902] Meet George R R Martin

A little update, considering I work in Fairfax, VA, I will likely drive down Friday night so that I can take full advantage of the entire day on Saturday.  So, if anyone else wants to go, we could meet somewhere in NoVA and drive down from there.  I'm already booking the hotel and making my own plans and just willing to allow others to come along.

I am going down to Blacksburg, VA on Saturday and Sunday to Technicon 25, being held at VA Tech, for their annual sci-fi/fantasy convention.  The guest of honor is George R R Martin.  If you've heard of him or read any of his books from his acclaimed series, "A Song of Ice and Fire", you know this man is a genius in the epic fantasy realm.  If anyone else would be interested in going, I welcome the company.  I plan on driving down early Saturday morning, doing the convention all day Saturday, staying in a local hotel Saturday night, doing some more conventioning on Sunday morning and then driving back so I have plenty of time to relax and unwind before going to bed for work on Monday.  The hotel will likely cost about $100 for the night, plus tax, which could be divided among the number of people going.  In addition, carpooling would be the best bet.  Email me or respond if you're interested and we can work out the details.
