**The February RPGala is Saturday, February 21st. The games so far are: Storming the Wizard's Tower, GURPS Fantasy, Earthdawn, and Fables. Descriptions to come soon. That leaves one, maybe two games still needed (depending on what the RSVP's look like). If interested, please contact me ASAP. Please don't post "I'm going to run game X". You need to contact me and review everything. Thanks!

**Oh, and we WILL have dirt cheap food again, so if you want food or soda, please include that in your RSVP. FOr those of you who are new, 2 dollars gets you a sandwich from Potbelly Sandwich works and a soda. We also usually have extra sodas. We never have extra sandwiches, I only order for those who indicate they want a sandwich. So, in your RSVP indicate FOOD:NO or FOOD:YES or if you just want soda, SODA:YES

**We are trying to keep the RPGala firmly on the 3rd Saturday of every month at the West End Library in the Foggy Bottom section of DC. We MUST keep the room clean and be on our best behavior! Last time the Library was a little wacky about us being there and Aaron and I had to invest time and effort to smooth things over and get future bookings. The issue was after the November RPGala the security guard said she found cigarette butts in the bathroom and blamed it on us and the Library managers freaked out. Aaron and I are virtually 100% positive it was the skeevey losers from the Tango class next door that did it but regardless, we got the blame. So let's be on our best behavior from here on out. I do not want to have to go through the nightmare of finding another venue smile

**The January RPGala was great but for one thing: I stupidly posted the wrong address for the meeting room. If any of you showed up but couldn't find us, you have my sincerest apologies. I screwed up.

**Still, we had 20 people come out and Jim, Will, and Brian ran games. Thanks to all three of these guys for an excellent job and a fun afternoon! Will again ran a game using his Fudge ruleset variant, Fables. The game was set in the Star Trek universe. I had my doubts of whether a game composed of the command crew like you see in Star Trek television show would work or not. It worked great. The game was hugely fun, exciting, and entertaining. We had a great group at the table as well, including a cowardly science officer, pacifist chief medical officer, a crack shot weapons officer, an ace helmsman, the reliable engineer, a renegade Romulan XO who was fond of both physical and psychological coercion, and my character, the driven and at times violent Captain Galt. We completed 3 adventure arcs over the course of the RPGala. The quote of the day was "Wow, we finished 3 adventures in as much time as it takes to make a character for other games". Fables is a fast, fun system that is heavy on roleplaying and light on rules. I like it. I like it a lot.

**I'd like to set up a social event sometime soon. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know.

Thank you and I hope to see many of you at the February RPGala!
