If you have a cushion and mat and like to sit on the floor, bring them. Cushioned chairs are provided and many sit on them. Stop by a bit early for a cup of tea and we can give you a primer on what is a simple practice really and you can meet new friends. Whether you decide this is your cup of tea, we will be grateful for your presence. There is an energy to collective meditation and Buddha taught we need Sangha to grow our practice in safe an supportive communities. Come and meet many who will be happy to see you. We do not charge, but we do pass a basket almost all of which goes to the UUCY our gracious host. Peace in Every Step, Water in the Wave.

Mindfullness meditation group of 25 people utilizing the practice of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village for sitting and walking meditation, insight and deep relaxation meditation. We are absolutely INCLUSIVE to all spiritual traditions. Our focus is on mindfulness practices and way of life and we encourage whatever faith based background if any you bring to the group. We insist on enjoying our practice and each other, and we have excelled at that, no prior meditation experience is required, a chair can be provided if you do not like sitting on a cushion.

Other practices are days of mindfulness (deep relaxation exercises), mindful movements, mindful eating, deep listening, and mindful communication. We have recently opened Sangha communities in Harrisburg and Lancaster. In York, we meet effective June 28th, 2015 in our new home, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York, 925 S. George Street, York PA 17403. Our Sangha meets every Sunday from 5-7 pm, please arrive a few minutes early to settle in. Our new meditation room is pictured in the beautiful Carriage House. We have collaborated with the UUCY before and pictured are 47 people for walking meditation during one of our special weekend long events. The Buddha taught our progress on mindfulness or the Noble Path can not grow in solitude, we need the collective energy of a safe and supportive community.
