Introduction to Mindfulness 8 week course (Evening)

We will be sharing exercises which enhance our awareness, learning how our mind, body, thoughts, emotions and senses all interact. Practicing breathing exercises, walking meditations, mindful eating, body scans, watching film clips and other methods to develop our skills to just be.

Each session is 60 minutes, and each participant is encouraged to commit to an average of 10 minutes daily practice for the duration of the course. (handbooks and recordings will be provided)

Who is the course for ?

It is open to all ages and abilities, from 11 upwards. Young people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The youngest student on this course was 11 and the oldest 72! What do I need to bring ? A pen and an open mind.
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes, and if possible remove your shoes, or bring extra socks. You will receive a handbook in the first week and these have more information about each session and tables to chart your progress and journal you experience. Emails are also sent weekly to share links to film clips and articles of interest. What previous participants have said.
