The day Brigit Strawbridge realised she knew more about the French Revolution than the native trees she walked past every afternoon on her way to work, she literally stopped in her tracks. This realisation led ultimately to her journey of reconnecting with the natural world and discovering her particular love for bees.
In this talk, Brigit will share stories of her journey back to nature and back to noticing– recounting the honeybee swarm that moved into her log hive, the bumblebee that nested in her bedroom, and the Leafcutter bees that found a home in her bee hotels.
She will delve into the world of pollinators, illuminating the differences between honeybees, bumblebees, and the often unknown and under-recognized solitary bees, which are so integral to pollinating the world around us.
Join Brigit for a talk, Q&A and book signing at Watkins Books in the heart of London's iconic Cecil Court.
