Pathfinder Gaming Session

GM is Angela E. Initial Pathfinder is level one module. GM Angela said "I am actually leaning towards running Master of the Fallen Fortress which is a module that can be pathfinder society. Its basically a fallen fortress dungeon crawl type thing. It would be a good start to get players introduced to each-other and would require a little bit of role-playing but not much. I find role-playing easier once I've played more with people."

There is a section in the pathfinder book on generating characters. Here is the link to the PRD http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd this is a free resource. You just need to create a Paizo account to access this.

For the module I am running it will be a 1st level character needed, using a 20 point buy with 2 traits from the following link http://archivesofnethys.com/Traits.aspx The traits cannot be from the same category for example you cannot choose 2 traits from the Basic combat category, one can be from Basic Faith, and one from Basic Combat though

Hat's off to Angela for the great dungeon crawl, makes me curious as to what was on the first floor that we skipped over. Those skeletons would've done a brick-ton more damage if we fought them without positive energy, especially since two of our have hitters were using unarmed strikes. It would've been like punching fire for us. Plus you healed more than they damaged.

I first want to thank GM Angela for not only GMing today's Pathfinder Game, but for also using her connections to arrange for the location. Thank you for all the participants for making the day special for me. I enjoyed my first day of playing Pathfinder. I appreciate everybody being so patient as I asked many questions. Sorry about the Flaming skeletons I didn't know they were going to explode. Look forward to Savage Worlds on Sun. April 7 at 12 pm.

It was a great deal of fun. We killed the Trog Druid and Brad slaughtered the Croc before it did anything.

That's a question best answered by GM Angela who worked for and arranged for the place where we are doing the Meetup.

sorry I thought I replied to this but my windows phone is a fail. Snacks for yourself are welcomed but I guess they don't want tons of snacks brought in so snacks must be limited to ones for yourself. You may order food though like Buffy and Bill did.

The information I promised will be up later this week. I apologize but I must start practicing my perform(french horn) skill for the Easter service this Sunday.

I am a Half Elf Cleric. I found a picture that resembles the character I have in mind.

Hey Angela, I am planning on playing a sorcerer. Buffy is planning on playing a cleric. Hope that helps.

I will allow pcs if needed to play the game however in the past many people use it to browse the web ECT.. Which takes away from the game. Snacks are allowed within reason but game u will not allow full meals for everyone.

Looks like we are at our limit unless we get another dm.

We will go ahead with everybody who currently scheduled and you as the GM. There is still some time before the event. My experience is that we get a high number that sign up but not everybody actually shows on the day. I think we are fine.

I'm putting some serious thought into the hungry ghost monk (hgm is in the advanced players guide). Though no good party is without a rogue but I play them so often with my other group...

I have hard copies of the core book and the advanced players guide should I bring those along or would they just take up space?

    March 7, 2013

    • Angela E

If you will be referring to them during play go ahead and bring them. Game U has plenty of table space.

I have finished four characters so far. 1/2 Elf Cavalier, Elf Wizard, 1/2Orc Rogue and a Human Barbarian. I am planning on putting 10 characters together to provide some variety for anyone that does not bring a character themselves.

    March 7, 2013

  • Angela E

I should state that if it is something that is not in the Advanced Race Guide or player's guide, to please bring the reference you went by for creation so I can verify or if I have questions.

Ian its really just another word for scenario. While there though I will give a rundown of pathfinder for everyone and explain modules, vs. Pathfinder society scenarios, vs adventure paths. Also no worries on being late. I anticipate having to help with finishing touches on character creations. So far no restrictions on what character you play. A 1st level from any pathfinder book is acceptable. If you look under files I have loaded several websites to aid in character creation as well as a brief description of the scenario we are playing.

Hey everyone, I hate to be that guy on the first session but since the event is on palm sunday I may be a little late. Please don't hold that against me it should only a few minutes tops (I hope). Also I'm not real lingo savvy can anyone tell me what 'module' means, it's all over these pages.

    March 6, 2013

  • Angela E

I have created a file with the module description and character creation rules and links to resources for character creation. Any question just ask.

And note that a Paizo.com account is only required if you wish to download anything, such as the Pathfinder Society Player's Guide. If you are just accessing the PRD, you do not need an account.

  • Dan E

I'll be watching the kids while Angela GMs.
