Pathfinder - Serpent's Skull

    • GM is Dan E.
    • GM Dan: "The campaign I will be running is Serpent's Skull. This is an Adventure Path from Paizo. It's a 6-book series that runs characters from Level 1 through about Level 17 with one continuous story-arc. Character are being used from Angela's one-shot session out of convenience, but can be new characters or modified from that previous session. If there is a desire for one-shot or PFS, it should be scheduled separately.

I will be creating a share on Google Drive that will be used to store campaign information, character sheets, equipment lists, and including a history of events. If you miss a session, you can read what happened in a summarized format online. Access to this share will be to regular players (not public). If new players wish to join mid-campaign and become regular players, I can work a new character into the campaign with some advanced notice. Otherwise, someone who shows up would just be filling in for a missing player or running an NPC for me.

I will be setting up this Google Drive share soon and emailing directly those that have indicated they are interested in the campaign. They should message me their email address in order to grant access.

The intention here is to start an ongoing campaign. It'll run a lot longer than just 3 sessions (at least 17 sessions, at once a month is over a year and probably closer to 2 years if it keeps going), but the first three sessions have been scheduled in advance. It is desirable that the players here are regular attendees, but I'm sure there will be a few dates that some people cannot make it and others can run the characters for the missing players. Either drop-ins trying out Pathfinder or regular players running multiple characters."

Sky goats, capt. Hook and devil worshippers. Yep this island is the worst island ever! Throw in a monk with no patience and we have a whirlwind of an adventure

The two characters who almost died were the two characters whose owners were not there. This is apparently what happens when you don't show up. :) The Rogue still has some recovery before him as he suffers from 4 Dex, 10 Str, and 4 Int damage still. Luckily, his system has fought off the illness. Now just needs to recover his strength without something else killing him first.

Aside from the Silent Monk having a bad start, and the fact that the island seems to be disease ridden; things went smoothly for most of the session. We all did a pretty good job in the combat situations. I thoroughly enjoyed it overall.

I have someone to fill in for the silent Monk today. A friend of mine just moved back to Wisconsin from New York this past week.

We have 2nd level characters for everyone now except Ron's Rogue. Since Nick is not going to be there, someone can NPC his character. Anyone interested? It's a Monk with a vow of silence.

Silly military obligations mean this silent monk is going to be a bit more quiet next week.

So are we supposed to have our characters ready to go by the next session or are we leveling at the start? I know you said we're doing the hp at the start but should everything else be ready to go?

Ideally you'd be leveled before arriving, but we can work on leveling at the beginning if necessary.
