What we're about

The purpose of The Waukesha County Writers Group is to improve the quality of the writing of its members, and to provide guidance on and share knowledge of the writing and publishing industries, all in a supportive and encouraging environment. All forms and genres of writing including prose, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction are welcome. We welcome any and all writers weather you're a New York Times Bestseller or have yet to put a word on the page. Out meetings consists of read alouds, work shopping, critiquing and anything else you may need to further your writing endeavors.

We meet every other Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Pewaukee Public Library.

The meeting will be taking place at the Pewaukee Public Library in the Visaya meeting room from 6:30 - 7:45 P.M (check with the circulation desk if you don't know where it is). During this meeting, we will begin by introducing ourselves. We will then have folks read some of their work aloud for the group to critique and give feedback. We will then finish off the meeting with roundtable discussion and time for collaboration. Required Materials Notebook Writing Utensil Bringing some of your writing to be workshopped is entirely optional but encouraged. If you do choose to share your work, please limit yourself to reading no more than 1000 words for the sake of time.
