Come meet us! We are outliving cancer 5, 8, 10+ years. Nobody in the world understands better than we do - where you are & what you need. Learn from cancer stat-busters, folks outliving cancer. If we can do it, so can you!

Those who outlive cancer mystify the medical profession because they don’t know how to duplicate the results. “It is not possible for even the most experienced of oncologists to predict the outcome..." Benedict Benigno, MD

Motivational theory behind our group -

"People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it." George Bernard Shaw

The Roger Bannister story -

For thousands of years, people tried to push themselves to run as fast as possible. In 1940 the mile record was set and held at 4:01. Experts suggested that the human body had limitations; that we had found the limits of the body and could not expect to achieve a 4 minute mile without dying with the attempt.

On May 6, 1954, Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute mile. That meant he ran 1,760 yards in under 4 minutes.

Once Bannister broke the 4 minute mile, others began to run the mile in under 4 minutes as well - These runners achieved this simply because, after Banniser's accomplishment, they knew it could be done. One man's accomplishment changed the belief in possibilities.

Bannister held the record for only 46 days. Today it is common place for professional runners to run a mile in under 4 minutes. What happened to the expert’s theory of our body’s limitations?

So here's the deal, since others have survived a high risk, and at times a late stage cancer such as ovarian cancer, isn't it time to rethink your own possibility of outliving cancer? You can make outliving cancer as commonplace as what was once thought of being impossible - breaking the 4 minute mile. Wouldn't it be amazing if outliving cancer was simply an awareness ... knowing that outliving cancer is being done ... that through your observing and interacting with others who are outliving cancer, you are increasing your chances of accomplishing the very same thing.

What are you afraid of? The simple act of observing and interacting with those outliving cancer is worth a try, wouldn't you agree? Those who do nothing achieve nothing. Those who do something, have a greater chance of accomplishing what they set out to do.

Runners aren't runners until they physically run. Runners can't break records until they put on their shoes and run.

Don't you want to meet folks who are outliving cancer? Don't you want to become a stat-buster yourself and outlive cancer too? Do something that will increase your chance of outliving cancer. Join us at Spotmany - We are alive ... period!

We meet monthly -

• 2nd Monday of each month, at Chapman Cancer Wellness at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital
1800 Howell Mill Road, Suite 700, Atlanta, GA 30318

This group is different than any other cancer support group  ... it's all about outliving cancer - letting all cancer patients know and see those who are outliving cancer - we do exist. Our motto is - If we can do it, then so can you."

Let's repeat - Bannister held the record for 46 days - others followed breaking the 4-minute mile once they learned it could be done. They simply knew that it was possible. Their bodies followed their thought. Please come join us - We are alive period!
