Hello and pre-welcome to Web Analytics Wednesday, February 19th 2014!
Officially the friendliest web analytics meetup on a Wednesday in Melbourne, we've been meeting since May 2013 at the cosy CBD nook Horse Bazaar.
Our meetups are non-sponsored, non-salesy, and as chilled as possible. Everyone's welcome, whether you're a basement-dwelling data junkie or a normal person!
Here's how the evening looks:
17:30 -- Welcome & Arrival (feel free to arrive before this time, it's open all day)
18:00 -- What's New In Web Analytics - a quick presentation on what's new in the zoo
18:15 -- Presentation: "The Analytics of Hope: 4 Things I Learned About People Analytics From Working The Obama Campaign" from Anthony Mockler
18:45 -- Chilled drinks and networking
Here's some info on this month's speaker:
Anthony is a final year law student, code slinger and community organiser. In 2012 he was a Field Organizer and Data Captain for Obama for America, where he knocked over 21,000 doors in Miami. Only one family told him to go away. He’s currently the online engagement analyst for the Australian Conservation Foundation, and builds web apps that are sometimes a bit funny. He likes Muppets.
Hope to see you there!
