What we're about

This group is for solo** parents and their children who would like to get together to connect with other like-minded people.

If your family enjoys having fun, playing games, being active, having intelligent, thought provoking discussions, sharing stories and being, in general, open to life, this might be the group for you.

It's for people who understand the gifts of spending intergenerational time together i.e. this is a group that encourages the kids and the adults to hang together for at least some of the time.

Solo** means anyone who has the kids by themselves e.g. single parents, or parents who might be partnered but the partner does not want to or cannot participate in these activities for whatever reason (e.g. work commitments). However, we certainly do not want to discriminate against both parents joining so if the other partner wants to join for some of the time, of course they can but this group is primarily geared to solo parents and their kids.

REQUEST: This is intended to be a positive experience for everyone. While it is understandable that group members may have gone/be going through some challenges and looking for support, please be mindful of any kids that may be within earshot of potentially upsetting conversations.

DISCLAIMER: You are solely responsible for your own safety and enjoyment, and for having the necessary knowledge, physical ability, payment ability and other means for you and your children to participate in group activities. You agree to hold harmless the organizer(s) and all members of this group from any and all claims.

Here's a list of things we personally think would make for a good fit:

*Kids are respectful and well-mannered.

*Adults are responsible but flexible.

*Sense of humor is appreciated.

*The family has an openness to new experiences.

*Able to have intelligent discussions.

*Valuing activity - taking hikes, walking, etc.
