Weekly Salsa Class - All Levels at Studio U
"Calling all dancers with two left feet!" This is a group class for anyone interested in learning how to dance salsa. Salsa is both a music genre and a type of partner dance that originated in Cuba. Although the term "salsa" was later commercialized in the 1970s in the US to describe the music, this music has it's roots in the Caribbean island. Today, salsa is world-wide and you can find salsa clubs in almost every country, and there are weekend-long salsa festivals happening every weekend in major cities. Here in LA we are lucky to have very large dance scene. All skill levels are welcome and beginners are encouraged. We meet every Thursday night at Studio U in Marina Del Rey on Washington Blvd (near Abbot Kinney Blvd). This class is for those wanting to learn to dance salsa On the 1 beat (LA Style). No partner is ever needed since this is a group lesson and drop ins are always welcome. Just show up! Class Details Beginner Level - 1 and 2 No dance experience needed.
