Moore Wilson Night Market

Moore Wilson’s is turning their upstairs carpark into ‘Taste Street’ and creating a unique night market.

The night market will offer an amazing range of street food created by local chefs, restaurants and food producers. The food available will include classics such as whitebait fritters, curries, sliders, paella, pizza and poulet rotisserie, all created by as many as 30 Wellington artisans. The ‘Taste Street Night Market’ will focus on taste experiences and small servings combined with local wine and craft beers.

Come down to Taste Street for an evening of fun, food and live music.  Admission is free, food and drink available for purchase.

Waste of time to be honest. The Sunday city market is more exciting with more stalls and more room

Agree 100%, the Sunday market is way better.

That was my thought too. Between Chaffers St market and City market you would have many of the same suppliers and a much much better time

Hi. We bought the most amazing lava chocolate cakes and I'm wondering if anyone would know who the supplier was. It was a stall run by two french women, down the back on the right hand side. There were fish and chips being sold on the other side of them, and I think there was a Cafe L'Affaire coffee cart on the other side.
I also agree with other comments. It was so crowded I swore I would never go again . . . well until I got home and popped the cakes in the microwave for a few seconds so the molten choclate melted. Worth taking on the masses.
I don't understand why they didn't spread it out over two carparks.

Not so much a meetup as a mashup. Too crowded.

Expected much better, especially since there was potential for more space as only the new bit of car park was used

Very disappointing. Couldn't even tell what the food was. Just huge crowds of people.

Very disappointed really, arrived about half 6 to find virtually no food left at most stalls and huge queues. Had to go to a restaurant on the way home for dinner :-(

Same experience here, but I wanted sweet mothers, and the service was crap, nobody came to offer me a menu after being seated at the bar for 5 minutes, so I left. Ate at home. bugger it!

EEK sounds like it was a bit of a zoo. Will email feedback to MW.... anonymously of course.... hopefully they'll get it right next year....

Thanks Lucy, it sounds like they were totally under prepared and overwhelmed with the numbers. Yes hopefully they will do much better next year :-)

The food looked (and tasted) fabulous, but it was far too crowded. People keep mentioning food that I never even saw because it was so crowded.

It was just too crowded and the lines too long.

I agree - I went at 5 and it was horrible - could not even see the food due to the crowds and huge queues (and I'm over 5'10!) so I left after doing a circuit not seeing a thing really. Disappointing. Would be better if there was some way to have the lines apart from the stalls so at least you could view the food and see what you're queuing for!

My first time at a "foodie" thing. If you bump into a silver haired guy with a Nikon happy for you to say hello - esp. the Photo Meetup people who are also attending.
