I spent 10 yrs in the hospitality industry, serving food and wine and indulging my foodie interests.
I have a business called Lady Lemon, selling lemon curd and other luscious lemony products at the City Markets. I can make halloumi cheese at home with a cheese kit i put together myself.
I'd like to go on trips to interesting places in the Wairarapa and up the coast that specialise in gourmet products. We can do tastings, have a picnic, build in a little forest walk or something. Also a Wellington "food crawl" eg. Schoc chocolates, Moore Wilson's (have a special tasting) and other gourmet shops. Then i would quite like to have foodie classes hosted by different Meetup members who have special talents.
Originally from Christchurch, I've lived in Wellington for nearly 20 yrs and never been bored with it yet. I like exploring different walks in Wellington's many parks; going to markets (and selling a range of lemon products at them); and dining out.
