Re: [Wellington-Foodies-Group] Interview with Dominion and Post about Wellington's dining scene

Just ate at MariLuca for the 3rd time on Murphy.  Not too big a hit on the wallet, great atmosphere and consistently excellent food.
I do like Boca Loca, but am more partial these days to mi neuvos amigos at Viva Mexico because it is closer and they have yummy feesh tacos.
I also really like the Vietnamese place on Majoribanks when I want bright, fresh SE Asian food quickly, simply and cheaply - funny that I go there more now than when I lived around the corner.
And Dahra (Korean) on Bond Street - like everything on the menu, well balanced flavours and choices at a good price.

These are not the flashest places in town but they are my faves...

Hello Fellow Foodies,

the Dominion Post have asked us to give an interview about the best places to dine in Wellington. I want to provide them with a selection of venues that represent the opinions of the group and not just my own. Do you have a particular restaurant that you adore? What was the dish that turned your head and why would you recommend this restaurant? It doesn't have to be fine dining just somewhere that you consider to be pretty darn perfect!

Would really welcome your input. This is a great opportunity for us, as consumers, to give our honest opinion.

Thanks

Lucy
