More relevant details:
-- 3 round elimination event
--Corporate Era, base game (only) with drafting of research cards
-- Expansions TBD (based on availability) but will be uniform across all games each round.
-- 3-4 player games (depending on participant count - The # we can accommodate will be dictated by the number of copies on hand, so if you can bring one, that would be great!)
-- Round 1 groupings will be determined by relative experience (similar levels together, if possible)
-- The winner of each game will advance to Round 2. A number of other players will advance to fill out the games in round 2 (i.e. if we have four 4-player games, the 4 winners AND the 4 others with the highest final score, irrespective of placing in game, will advance to make two 4p games).
-- The final round will be the winners of round 2 games + X others with the highest cumulative VP score . Any tiebreak will be decided by:
1) if they won in round 1,
2) # of generations played
3) player order
-- We've not fixed a time for rounds 2 & 3 so that once those groupings are determined the participants can mutually agree upon when they would like to begin, presumably after a short break.
-- I will participate in round 1 as a fill-in to get us to a more suitable number (i.e. if we have 11 sign-ups, so that we can have three 4p games and so on).
*** I don't want to exclude anyone so that we can have players keep one corporation throughout, so I'll drop that idea and happily expand the player count beyond 16 -- presuming we have sufficient copies of the game to do so.
