The 3 Peaks Challenge is an annual event organised by the Wellington Scottish Athletics Club with three events, each of which is over three hills. It's up to you how many peaks you climb, and in what order and what route you take. Tackle three peaks, two peaks or just try one peak - it’s up to you. Marshals at the top of each peak will record your number and your arrival time. Cost is $10 per person. This can be done as a group run. Roughly about 20k via road & trails.
The map of the three peaks challenge is available here! The GREEN circles indicate the first 3 peaks event!
Note that there is a navigational aspect to this event and people can run alone or as a team. Key is to finish as many peaks as you can within the cut off time of 12pm to be back at base at Scottish club rooms.
