Hi all. This is a new Challenge walk to ascend Fan Gyhirich which is the mountain that overlooks Crai Reservoir and Dan yr Ogof in the Central West Beacons. The walk will see us ascend the Northern side of the mountain before exploring the area around it before heading back to our starting point. The walk has a steep ascent and includes on and off path walking. Walking boots with good grip are essential. You will need to carry waterproofs, hat, gloves, water, lunch and snacks.. This walk is also part of the 3 Challenging walks offer so there will be plenty of good company on our adventure. You will need to carry face mask, hand gel and be aware thatr the walk will adhere to social distancing suitable for the mountain environment.
The walk is 12kms in distance and involves 550 metres of ascent.
I look forward to guiding you.
