What we're about
This group is for anyone interested in American Sign Language! Whether you are deaf, hard of hearing, or hearing, feel free to join! Come learn more vocabulary, grammar, and more about the Deaf Culture. This is also a great time to meet new people in the area and ask questions.
A few things:
-We welcome all levels of knowledge of Sign, from beginner to fluent to native. We do ask though that you know the manual alphabet before coming. That being said, during the meeting time voices are turned off. Follow these links if you need to practice your alphabet as well as our other resources:
-We welcome all ages, but since we are going to be in a public space it is important we are courteous to the other patrons.
-You are not expected to order anything, but you are welcome to if you would like. Members are expected to cover their own expenses. We also ask you limit yourself to a max of one alcoholic beverage during the meeting time.
-Our group is an unbiased group that does not discriminate in any form, especially audism. We want this to be a comfortable and enjoyable environment.
