LAKE PAUL DOG HIKE. super easy/level 2.5 mile hike around large lake

THIS WILL BE A "NO HOST" HIKE AND DOG SWIM.

The group hits the trail promptly at 10:00, be on time, they don't wait.  No one will be counting heads, so if you're not on time, they will leave without you.

It's an easy one, and there are usually enough of our "regulars" along to show you where to find the lake.  Once you get to the lake, it's a no-brainer to walk around it.

RELAXED HIKE WITH WIDE, LEVEL PATHS AROUND A HUGE, PRIVATE LAKE.   GOOD FOR BEGINNERS & ALL DOGS!   A very primitive trail, a bit of wilderness, so be prepared for bugs and brush.

About 2.5 miles, less than an hour of actual walking at a relaxed pace, but we tend to goof off a lot and the dogs play and have a lot of fun  . Trails are dirt/grass/mulch and mostly unmaintained.

Most dogs run offleash and there's a lot of swimming.

The dogs can get a little ROWDY when they hit the water and also when hiking.  Be ready for this.  Everyone is responsible for keeping their dog safe and under control, just like at a dog park.

It's a big PLAY day for the pups, and they like to get crazy....AND muddy!  Most paths are mulch covered, but it's muddy close to the water.  Also, at this time of year, the brush is growing in, so be prepared for some weeds between the path and the lake.  You can walk around the edge of the lake, but need to get back on the path around the beaver lodge on the far side of the lake.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR RSVP CURRENT, our other hikers are NOT organizers and it's just a courtesy to the other people in the group and their pups.

NO BIKERS!

NO BATHROOMS, NO PUBLIC WATER.

TENNIS SHOES ARE OKAY HERE.

FRONTLINE YOUR PUPS, TICKS ARE OUT.

BRING BUG REPELLENT FOR YOURSELF.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS....

Take Hwy 40/64 to BOONES CROSSING in Chesterfield Valley.  Go North towards Taubman Outlet Mall, the other side of the highway from Sams/Target/Chestefield Commons stores.  At the "T", go right a short ways, then left into the parking lot for Taubman Mall.

Once inside the parking lot, go to the FAR LEFT END of the lot, there is a levy trail access there.
