I like to network with people like myself, dog people! With as much as I work these days, my own pups are getting a bit neglected in the walking department. I try to take them to fun events whenever I can, and something like this would be great!
Brhok is a purebred red merle australian shepherd. He is my #1, at nearly 9, it's more than 7 years since I rescued him, and it still brings me joy to see him learning new wonderful things about the world. Kailyn is an aussie/pointer mix, white with red merle patches. She'll be 6 in November. She's my helper, her job is to make mine easier. Guyver is a boxer/dachshund cross whom I affectionately call Yoda Ears quite often. He's the baby of the group, not quite 2 years old, and he keeps us on our toes with his boxer antics...
I prefer to walk them late at night, there's something peaceful about a midnight walk, or right at dawn. Our outings are usually during the day, tho, running errands, going to parks, etc. No set days or times, really.
No idea on distance, but when we actually go for a walk, it's usually at least an hour of fast-paced walking, with 30 or 40 minutes of play time somewhere along the way. Right now, it's about 1-2 times every other week. :( But we go out for errands and play times at least 3-4 times a week.
Brhok and Kailyn are both CGC Certified, and Guyver should be later this month. Brhok and Kailyn have both passed their TDI test, but I didn't get the paperwork sent in on time, so now they will retest and receive their certification this fall.
I'm a professional dog walker by trade, and spend my free time training, rescuing, and transporting dogs, and rehabbing wildlife. I have 3 dogs of my own, and they are the light of my life! I live, love, work, and play with dogs, wouldn't trade it!
