Easy 7.5 miles / 12.1 km
Starting in Cudham, we take in woodlands, Medieval churches, going through High Elms Country park and Downe, the village where Charles Darwin lived.
Lunch: Picnic, with a pub stop in Downe
Note that although there are plenty of free parking spaces in Cudham Recreation ground, it can get busy, so I would advise arriving a bit earlier to ensure a space.
This is a circular walk
Please note that there is a £2 voluntary contribution for non-Rambler members towards meetup fees.
Paid up members of the Ramblers are welcome on any of our walks, but we would encourage you to RSVP. This is to give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also to keep the numbers manageable.
If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Rambler member, please let the walk leader know you are coming. On the day of the walk only, the group leader can be contacted on[masked] - voice calls only (no texts).
