Meet at Crowborough Railway Station.
Walking along the River Grom through woodland heavily fortified by pill boxes via Redgale Mill criss crossing the disused part of the cuckoo line stopping at Rotherfield (Kings Arms) for lunch. Past the Church of St Denes (where to steeple blew off in the 1987 hurricane), cross Dewlands Hill golf course and around the outskirts of Rotherfield House crossing a deep gyll.
Please note that there is a £2 voluntary contribution for non-Rambler members towards meetup fees. Paid up members of the Ramblers are welcome on any of our walks, but we would encourage you to RSVP. This is to give our volunteer walk leaders an idea of how many are attending, and also to keep the numbers manageable. If, on the day of the walk, you are still on the waiting list and a Rambler member, please let the walk leader know you are coming. On the day of the walk only, the group leader can be contacted on[masked] - voice calls only (no texts).
