Introduction

I am the band leader of both the Baker Brothers Big Band and The Riff Tide Jazz Trio. I play the kit in both. I am also a concert flutist (30+ years) and only recently have been taking lessons with a jazz flutist.

What Dan B. is saying about this Meetup Group

Great group. Great bunch of guys. I suggest allowing a second drummer be allowed to bring a kit for a couple of reasons. Like any instrument, we all like to play our own :-). I believe there is plenty of room. And there are a number of charts that would sound cool with both drummers playing at the same time (ie: one driving a beat and the other comping of sorts). But my real suggestion is simply to allow for 2 kits. What do you think?
