Return of the Hack!

We'll be meeting at 7pm on Thursday 11th July, at the Crown & Anchor. Bring a laptop, grab a drink & join up upstairs for more polyglot hackery. The schedule:

6-7pm Arrive. Munch burgers.

7pm Introductions, voting for ideas.

7:15pm Hack!

8:45pm Show & tell.

...and then drinks until closing time.

I look forward to seeing you there. :-)

Cheers,

Kris

PS - My apologies to the people who were calling for a different night of the week. The pub can only give us the room on Thursday. I'm going to look for a larger venue, but in the meantime Thursday is our best bet.

Rough around the edges, but I'm delighted that we all got something evolving in such a short time. :-)

Managed to get it to mutate _just_ after demoing...

Already looking forward to next month, got a couple ideas already =)

Sorry not to see you Adam. Catch you next month. :-)

That was great fun. I think we picked a hack at the upper-end of challenging (for 1hr 1/2) but we all managed to cut our teeth on genetic algorithms. Great night.

Unfortunately, due to company business (er, free drinks, I mean), I'm not going to be able to attend. Again. Next time...

Can't make it after all sadly. If I can get back in town relatively early, I might pop along and see how it's going. Would be great to meet everyone.

Afraid I can't make it this time (I'm celebrating the successful completion of another solar orbit). Hope it goes well and I can make the one after that :-D

I live in North London but grew up in West London and have the accent to prove it - can I still come? :)

Conway's game of life is always fun to implement - perhaps we can hack this in different languages?

Good idea. I'll add it to the list. :-)

Perhaps a hack related to Time would be appropriate

Funnily enough, I have one in mind that could be described as Relative Dimension In Space.

I can't do Wednesdays until the end of the summer, for evening-class reasons.

How about we aim for Tuesday 9th?

    May 21, 2013

    • Kris J.

Uck. The pub can't give us the 9th. It'll have to be the Thursday until I find a larger spot...
