The Coast Guard Auxiliary from Grand Haven is coordinating another "Paddlepalooza" down the Pigeon River on Saturday, May 17th. We will once again meet at Hemlock Crossing County Park, 8115 West Olive Rd., in West Olive, have a quick check of equipment by the Coast Guard, and then paddle 4 miles down to the home of Ralph Fairbanks. Hot dogs and refreshments will be available.
The Auxiliary will be available to give people a ride back to the park to pick up their vehicles. So NO spotting of cars this time. If you choose, as we did last year, you may paddle back up river to the park. We had so much fun last year, we'd like to do it again.
There is no charge for the inspections and you can not be ticketed for not having the 'right stuff'. The inspection is a courtesy of the Coast Guard and lunch is courtesy of the USCG Auxiliary.
