Why did you join this group?

I hope to get more active in this group after my open heart surgery on May 17th. It's tough to go on this diet w/o family/friends support as they have no clue why this diet is so good. By joining I hope we can all share in ways of enjoying this diet. Yes, life can go on w/o wheat & unnatural foods of the SAD (std Amer diet) & you can live life to the fullest as God intended us to when eating natural foods. For more about Dr Davis (one of my cardiologist), see Wheat Belly excerpts in & his blog at His book explains all of scientific reasons why GMO wheat is so bad as it causes many health problems including heart disease.

I've been paleo for 2 yrs. Introduced to diet by Dr William Davis, cardiologist, w/ his heart disease prevention plan. Diet is my passion as I've slowed/stopped progression of the disease. I started it too late as I had to have open heart surgery.
