The ride will be on the paths, trails and back roads of the urbanized farmland along the river. As the area is pretty flat, we should cruise comfortably at round 12-14mph. The weather is supposed to be fine. A good bike with well inflated tyres, a bottle of water, ID and credit card for emergency/coffee after, should be all you need. This loop bordered by the river and Jefferson Blvd through largely farm country with minimal traffic is a delight. It's hard to beat, offering a few options that allow it to be varied between 10m and 30m. As the weather gets warmer and there's less liklihood of rain, allowing more to join, there'll probably be a need to break up into 2 groups, one riding at 12 - 14mph and the other at 10 - 12mph. If you're likely to be a better fit with the slower group, please let me know a few days in advance so I can try to ensure you have a cycling companion to share and enjoy your ride, without compromising the ride for others. If it's raining, the ride is cancelled.
