What we're about
This group was started to get women together who are interested in meeting new friends. The purpose of the group is for Woman (DIVAS) to come together for connection and support while enjoying various activities together. For our group purposes DIVAS is an is an acronym for Diverse, Inspiring, Vibrant, Ageless, Sisters!
In addition to our monthly Diva Brunch, we will have other scheduled activities. We try to add new activities and new restaurants to the list of things to do as suggestions come up. Women who are looking for meaningful and lasting friendships, a positive/supportive environment and fun among a diverse, inspiring, vibrant, ageless group of women are welcome; this sisterhood is definitely for you!
Be sure to have a current profile picture when you join; you must be in the picture, it must be obvious who you are in the picture, and the picture must be recent. It must be a "real photo of a real person". No stock photography or enhanced images, pet photos, or other subjects will be accepted. WSDC will not accept requests for membership who apply using internet handles, or initials, for a profile name. We need your real name; exceptions to this are if you are called by your middle name or a lifelong nickname, for example "Sue", short for Susan, "Abby", short for Abigail, "Val”, short for Valerie, etc...
Some Meetup members belong to many other groups and in turn some Meetups out there have membership counts in the high 100's and 1000’s, but only have a fraction of that count as active members. WSDC tries to keep our membership count lower with a high number of active member participants. In order to do this, WSDC reserves the right to decline membership requests from individuals who belong to a large number of other groups. We also purge members from WSDC who do not remain active for a period of time. The main purpose of WSDC is to make meaningful connections among our members; that goal will fall short if our membership is over committed and can’t actively and consistently participate. Please keep this in mind when you join.
Please take the time to review our group guidelines once your membership request has been approved.
