We’ll be delving into various Yoga poses combined with Yogic breathing. The philosophy and science of this ancient, yet modern, practice will be woven in to give a complete introduction to yoga.

Yoga Flow with Ritu via Zoom

In this class, we will explore beginner and intermediate yoga poses but with longer holds to build strength and stamina. This class may also be an introduction to and practice of “flow”. A “flow style practice” is one which knits and links familiar poses together with great emphasis on slow and easeful transitions from one pose to another with emphasis on the use of breath. As always, our class ends with a deep relaxation and mindfulness meditation. This class is appropriate for anyone who feels comfortable with our gentle/ beginner level classes and is looking for a little bit more challenge.

Therapeutic Yoga with Ritu Kapur via Zoom

This is a gentle and therapeutic yoga class that focuses on neck, shoulders, hips and spine. We will flow mindfully through a systematic yoga sequence that can help you align your spine, decompress it and strengthen it safely and effectively.

This class will help you release muscle tension and relieve back, neck, shoulder and generalized aches and pains with emphasis on stretching and flexibility in harmony with your breath. We will do Yoga asanas on the mat with use of bolsters and cushions. Class ends with a short meditation that leaves you feeling calm, centered and in the present moment.

You will need a yoga mat and 3-4 blankets for this class.

Ritu is an Occupational Therapist and a Registered Yoga teacher. She combines over 25 years of experience as an OT with the yoga knowledge to offer the most therapeutic experience to you.

Restorative yoga with slow-flow via Zoom

We invite you to join for a very mindful restorative yoga class where each pose will feel meditative. You will find this class extremely helpful in finding deep relaxation with sense of peace and calm.

Restorative yoga has many benefits for health and well being, one of the largest being the de-stress factor. This class will be ideal for any practitioner, as it will involve some gentle stretching with use of deep, mindful breathwork followed by a series of poses supported with various props in order to allow both the body and mind to truly relax. These poses become very meditative as you follow guided breath awareness.
