This group is for all those interested in or practicing Mindfulness. I am currently studying a 4 year Masters in Mindfulness and would love to share some of the techniques I have learnt with my local community. I will guide you through some exercises which use the breath to bring us into the present moment and together we will explore techniques of Mindful eating and Mindful walking and a more Mindful way of life. The sessions will be held at a cosy, vintage cafe in Westbourne and this beautiful space will be just for us. Space is limited so there will be a maximum of 6 people in each session. Yummy herbal teas will be served at the end of the practice.

Whether you are new to mindfulness, a little out of practice or even if you meditate daily this session is for you. We will spend an hour doing some of the core mindfulness practices as a group (e.g. Mindful standing, very gentle mindful movement and a longer sitting meditation). Then you are welcome to stay on half an hour to have a cup of delicious herbal tea and discuss the meditations or just have a chat. This space is open to all, don't be shy if it is your first time it is a safe and welcoming space (we use the back of this lovely cafe which will be closed for our group). Wear something comfy and come and be present with your body and breath for a blissful hour and a half. The session costs 8 on the day . Limited to 9 people so please only sign up if you intend to come :)

Spring Mindfulness and Tai Chi Retreat Day

Excited to announce our next retreat day at Gaunts, the last 2 have been fully booked! This full day of Mindfulness and Tai Chi will help you to connect with breath and body in the present moment. We will invite you to put down things been and gone and to put down your to-do lists....to arrive right here! The Mindfulness will be guided by Linda Ward who studied a 2 year post-graduate diploma in teaching Mindfulness at Bangor University. Stuart Ward will introduce you to Chen style Tai Chi as a means of developing self-awareness, increasing energy levels and grounding within the fast pace of life. All ages and abilities are welcome. Stuart is a 12th generation lineage holder and disciple to Grandmaster Kongjie Gou. We are passionate about what we do and would love to share this with a group of like-minded people. Gaunt's house will provide a healthy, vegetarian lunch and healthy snacks and herbal teas throughout the day. The Total price including all guidance, food and drinks is 50 pounds.
