Cosmic Patrol

Rockets and Rayguns! Cosmic Patrol is a roleplaying game set in a retro future based on the Golden Age of science fiction. If you've ever seen a cover from a classic 1930s-1960s sci-fi pulp magazine, you've got the idea. You and your friends form the crew of a Patrol rocketship and blast off for action and adventure in the wild galaxy. In Cosmic Patrol, players take the role of Patrolmen-the first and last line of defense for humans in a dangerous galaxy. Patrolmen explore, discover and defend the interests of humans wherever they go. With an atomic ray gun at their hip, they brave the unknown on a regular basis.

Cosmic Patrol is a pen & paper roleplaying game set in the retro-future of the 1940s-50s. It’s a narrative, cinematic game that’s easy to learn and can be played with little preparation. Players not only control their characters, but build the plot and fill in the details as they go.

I did the enjoy the game, it was a nice change from other RPGs I've played in the past. I think the game is more geared towards GMs who want to play, but this game allows for them to keep their skills honed.

I know I made the suggestion of picking a scenario at random, but once I got a look at it, I see that a little bit of preparation would be beneficial.

Where's a good place to park down there?

There's a small lot behind the building, but that's likely to fill quickly with so people coming to this and board game night. There's lots of street parking in the general vicinity, along Elliot and Ralph Ave.

Hey guys! I am going to be posting the quick start rules for the game here:

Although I will be bringing my copy of the core rulebook, and I believe the shop sells it too, I thought that if we could familiarize ourselves with the rules of the game we'd get started faster tomorrow night. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Sure. Let's have this after geek pride day. What date/time would work best for people. Weekends are best for me.

This sounds like a really fun game. I'm in to try it out if we can do it after GPD...? Maybe?

I'd love to try this game! I have it but have never had a chance to play.

I've never played before, but I'm always up for trying new things.

    What system does it use?

Sounds like Lensmen! That should be fun! If I have time I would enjoy this. Since there is no "maybe" option I'm not going to respond yet until there's some dates associated. But I am interested. :)
