Hello Geeks,
Well, I hope that most of you are safe and warm. It would take a Herkimer Battle Jinty to get out of our street today.
But that does not stop the WG from having fun. We have a couple of busy weeks headed into March.
In addition to the boardgaming, rpgs , Warhammer and CCGs we have going on weekly, we have a host of other cool things going on!

8 March- Some geeks are getting together to see Chappie- a sort of “Short Circuit” meets “Terminator” at the Cinema Center Deluxe in White Plains…we are meeting around 1:15 around the piano in the lobby. This by all accounts is a great film and something worth seeing.

9 March- We have another Classic movie at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers. They are showing the classic Animated Transformers movie. The film starts at 7:30, so meet by the “Bomb” at 7:15

.
11 March- It is time for trivia! Join our Quizmistress Dina and company for a Special decade-themed trivia. This time we are hitting the 90ies…an exciting decade to be sure. It is JC Fogarty’s tavern in Bronxville. It is right across from the train station (Harlem Line) and there is plenty of parking for your Tauntauns.

12 March- Like Pixar? ILM? Well, at 630 ant the North Castle Public Library in Armonk there is a talk on the impact these computer animation houses had on modern society. It should be a fun and interesting talk.

14 March- It is PI Day. We are celebrating Pi day at Harshad House in Mt Vernon. Fun and games all around. Pie and Trivial Pursuit! It is full up right now, but put yourself on the waiting list.

16 March is KARAOKE! All day Karaoke in NYC- Karaoke duet 48! Allways a fun event, esp if you like to sing! The package is 14 dollars from anytime between 1:00pm and 8:00pm. If you are the earliest you can just post what room you are in and start singing, people will join you as they come in. There is no minimum for rooms and you pay the 14 dollars in the beginning so switching rooms and leaving rooms early is also easy. The bar is half price all day and there are many delivery menus to order food from.

21 March- we have Two events: Beer and board games at the Yonkers Brewing Company. They brew s solid beer, they have a tasting room and food to boot! Let's get together, take a tour to see the magic of birthing a beer and afterwards, enjoy a pint or two and settle down for some board games! There are shooting for the 1:30 tour.
The second event is our monthly writer’s workshop at 1-3pm, in the Local History Room of the Greenburgh Public Library. Hope you can make it. :) Also, if you're interested in joining our FB page, the address is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/wgwg1. Come get your creative juices flowing!

22 March is another cult movie night out at the Alamo Draft House at 630- it is The Night of the Comet! After an awe-inspiring comet passes across the whole earth, all life is cindered into dust except for teenage sisters Reggie and Samantha. Realizing they are the only ones alive they take to the mall where they can have their hearts desire for free! But their plans are soon thwarted by other survivors - zombified creatures and conniving scientists. Armed with machine-guns, our heroines fight for their right to shop. It’s all the fun of the best ‘80s teen comedies paired with the best gore and violence of zombie movies! Should be a hoot

.
23 March – We have our first Bowling event at Cortlandt Lanes! Price is $15 for all you can bowl, including games & shoe rental. You MUST leave a $5 deposit to RSVP for this event. Deposit deadline is 22 March 2015. The $5 deposit goes toward the $15 that the alley charges for all-you-can bowl on Monday nights. If you cancel before the RSVP deadline, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel AFTER the deadline, or don't show up, you forfeit your deposit. Please bring the remaining $10 in cash on the night of the event. Cortlandt Lanes is cash only.

Whew, that is a lot of stuff. We are getting really busy. BUT, if there is something you don’t see and want to do, let us know and we will try to make it happen. Check out our meetup page and facebook page for all the most current happenings.

Additionally, our friends over at Double Exposure (the people who bring you Dreamnation and Dexcon, among others amazing events) are looking for people to be “Heralds” for their Envoy program. Heralds are gaming “advocates” demoing and promoting events at stores, cons, and other events. It is a great way to spread the gaming love, expose the masses to new and cool games, and have fun. Check out the web page- http://www.dexposure.com/envoy/index.html, or email me for more info.

Have a good march and we will see you all soon,

Blair (turkbroda), Dina and the rest of the star chamber.
