CT Appalachian Trail hike: Bull's Bridge to Macedonia Road

Join us for a very strenuous there-and-back-again hike between Bull's Bridge and Macedonia Road in Kent, CT via the Appalachian Trail. Beautiful views of the Housatonic River valley enroute. Rocky trails and several very long sustained hill climbs each way.

Difficulty: Very strenuous

Distance: 15 miles

Estimated Time: 7-10 hours

Weather: Rain cancels.

Equipment: Sturdy hiking shoes. Water -- at least two liters. Hiking poles if needed. Headlamp or flashlight mandatory. Trail map. Fully charged cell phone. Plan to dress in layers, and avoid cotton.

Dog policy: Dogs are welcome on this hike, but must be kept on leash and under control at all times.

Guests: No guests for this hike. All hikers must be members of WHMG.

    At this point Sunday's weather looks more favorable than Saturday's. I may move the hike to Sunday if the forecast weather conditions don't improve. I will send out an email by Friday 8pm if the hike date is changed.
