Anyone out there who has either thought "Gosh, improv looks fun, I wish I could learn how to do that" or "Gosh, improv is fun, I wish I had a place I could do that in Westchester" should come on down to weekly Meetups! With two experienced instructors (Michael - former professional improviser, and Joshua - protege of Michael, as well as instructor of both his high school and college improv troupes) who have worked with and taught first timers and professionals alike, our weekly meetings will aim to teach and hone improv skills, learn and practice drills and games, and, most importantly, play and have fun.
(This is a regular, recurring event, but we'd like to know a rough estimate of how many are attending beforehand so we can accommodate for more or less people, and plan our lessons accordingly.)
No need to bring anything in general, though we may have some quirky ideas for games that may want some props, so keep an eye on the Discussion for those.
Each session will have a different focus and different drills and games to hone your skills. We will update you all on a given session's overarching goals in the Discussion on the page.
Lastly, if you are willing, we ask if you could possibly help cover the rental cost. Its not required, you are welcome to attend for free, but if you could, we would ask for at most $5. Every little bit helps.
