"At Pocantico Hills...where the fine views invite the soul...I have spent many delightful hours, studying the beautiful views, the trees and fine landscape effects of that very interesting section of the Hudson River..." We will do a 1.5 - 2 HR hike at a moderate to fast pace.

Terrain: Easy to moderate, mainly rolling hills.

Equipment: You should bring a change of footwear for your ride home

Distance: Approximately 4-5 miles

Pace: Moderate to Brisk. Although this is a beginner hike, and nobody gets left behind, we tend to walk at a brisk pace. Please assess your ability to keep this pace before signing up.

Meeting location: We will meet at the the MAIN Parking lot for the Rockefeller State Park Preserve.

The Parking lot is located on the south side of Route 117 approximately halfway between Route 9A to the East and Route 9 to the West. There are gates and stone walls at the entrance, a large horse-trailer parking lot, a little toll booth, a visitors center and a bathroom building. We will meet at the restroom building in the parking lot.
