All else, meet at Laurel Valley Parking area where we'll start hiking promptly @ 9AM - we don’t wait so please don’t be late.

Sassafras Mountain is the highest point in SC and along the Foothills trail. We’ll hang here for an extended lunch break and soak in the 360 degree views.

We’ll carry on another 1.5 miles to camp at Cantrell Campsite for a total of 5.5 miles on Saturday. This is an old homesite with lots of character and a good water source.

Sunday, Sept 19
We'll hike the remaining 8.4 miles to Table Rock State Park. Along the way we’ll see a few waterfalls as well as more expansive views of the mountains beyond and valleys below.

We’ll coordinate the shuttle back to Laurel Valley from Table Rock State Park for those who left vehicles there.
