  • Women's Specialty Fire to Support Young Women's Initiation 7PM-9PM

    Western Carolina/ Maggie Valley Hearth

Our local fire community has been invited to provide support for a group of 5 young women on their journey towards initiation into womanhood. They have been preparing for many months and will participate in a challenging and transformative week-long initiation process. We have been asked to lend our support on this particularly intense day of their sacred journey. Please come and support these women by sitting by a consecrated fire from 7 PM to 9 PM. We'll share our own stories of what it has been like to not have had formal initiation, or what we've experienced as our own initiatory rite of passage, oftentimes, not positive and affirming, that has catapulted us into adulthood. You can learn more about Sacred Emergence here: https://www.sacredfirecommunity.org/blog/sacredemergence/ PLEASE BRING A CHAIR AND A FLASHLIGHT Hope to see you then! Warmly, Cindy
